Nextwave 2022 Prizes and Awards
We keep saying ‘you gotta be in it to win it!’ – and it’s time to unveil our first lot of awards and prizes (check back for exciting updates!)
The Nextwave team are always striving to supply prizes that are not only awesome, but will also help to further the careers, talent, and knowledge of emerging filmmakers.
We award over 10 unique awards – including nods for acting, sound, direction, cinematography and editing, alongside Best Film in three age categories, and some special awards acknowledging regional filmmakers and schools.
ALL finalists will also receive a certificate, free tickets to the Nextwave Youth Film Awards, and opportunities to participate in the Screenwave International Film Festival.
And, of course, the number 1 award that comes with making a short film? A piece of art and an experience you’ll keep with you and your crew forever (awww!).
