What is Beyond the Bubble?
Beyond the Bubble is a short film comp, presented by Coffs Harbour City Council, open to all young folks living in Coffs Harbour between the ages of 10-25.
The aim of Beyond the Bubble is to capture stories from young people living in Coffs Harbour in 2020 – what’s been fun about living on the Coffs Coast this year?
There are some cool prizes up for grabs, including EB Games Gift Vouchers and a brand new 128GB iPad!
The best 5 films will also screen at the Nextwave Youth Film Awards held during SWIFF in April 2021!

Guidelines for entry
- Films must be under 1 minute
- You have to be living within the Coffs Harbour LGA to be eligible for entry
- You have to be between the ages of 10-25
- You can make your film any way you’d like! Use a phone, a GoPro or even a drone!
- Submissions close Friday December 18, 2020
- You can enter as many films as you like
- Films should be family friendly

How to submit your film
Finished your amazing new film and would like to enter it into the competition? Fantastic!
- Have you filled in the Entry Form?
- Your film must be 1 minutes or less – including intro and credits.
- The file size you send should be less than 5GB
- You can also send us some photos from your film (screen shots or on set stills) as well as a short synopsis. These can be included in the program if you’re a lucky finalist.
(Exporting tips: we suggest exporting to H264 Mp4 at 1080p)
To submit your film upload it digitally through online services such as Dropbox, Vimeo, YouTube or Google Drive. Remember to list your film as private and share the password with us. Send the link and password to contact@nextwavefilm.com.au, along with any photos from your film.
