Screenwave uses eCommerce to provide a secure environment for the authorisation of credit card transactions over the Internet. Confidential information including client credit card details are encrypted the moment they are transmitted from the client’s browser to the banking network using industry standard SSL 128-bit RC4 encryption technology.
A customer’s credit card details are not stored anywhere on the Internet and the only company who has access to this data is the merchant’s bank. The bank also sends confirmation information via the same encryption technology back to the client’s browser. These secure processes provide clients with peace of mind when purchasing online.
Personal information will only be used or disclosed for direct marketing purposes with your consent. In circumstances where Screenwave cannot practically obtain your consent, Screenwave may still engage in direct marketing to you, but will:
a) advise you that you can be taken off the mailing list at any time; and
b) display its contact details clearly in each direct marketing publication.
If you require access to your personal information which Screenwave holds, you may request to review such information to ensure that it is accurate and up to date. This will be subject to any exemptions allowed under the Privacy Act.
If you are not allowed access to your personal information, you will be informed of which exemption(s) under the Act prevent such access. If Screenwave incurs any costs in its provision of access to you, Screenwave may charge you a reasonable fee for this service.
Accuracy and Security
Screenwave takes all reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information it retains is accurate, complete and up to date. If any personal information Screenwave holds is incorrect, please contact us immediately and Screenwave will take all reasonable steps to correct it.
All personal information is kept within a secure environment.
Information stored on Screenwave’s computer database is protected by fire walls and requires password access to designated personnel.
Screenwave will not send you emails unless you have first given your consent, have agreed to subscribe to a service, or have signed up for our e-news editions.
